Function and Use of Preformed Suspension Clamp

The preformed suspension clamp is used for the connection of various wires such as ADSS optical cable and OPGW optical cable in the linear pole tower. The use of the pre-twisted suspension clamp can protect the optical cable well, has the effect of auxiliary vibration reduction, and effectively extends the line Service life.   


The complete set of preformed suspension clamp consists of: inner stranded wire, outer stranded wire, suspension head and rubber block, U-ring, aluminum casing, bolts, nuts, closing pins and other matching connection hardware.   


Features of preformed suspension clamp: 

1.The combination of the inner and outer spiral preformed wires plays the role of protecting the optical cable, which can make the conductor stress distribution uniform, without concentration points, can enhance the rigidity of the cable installation point, and have a good protection performance for the optical cable.   

2.The clamp has a strong grip, which can reach 10%-20% of the rated tensile strength of the optical cable, and has a strong dynamic stress tolerance.   

3.The combination of inner and outer spiral preformed wires can make the clamp and the optical cable have a larger contact area, and is equipped with a flexible rubber clamp block to enhance self-damping and reduce wear.  

4.It has the function of anti-corona ring, which can greatly improve the electric field state of the high-altitude optical cable and the end of the preformed wire, reduce power loss, reduce the electrical corrosion of the optical cable due to corona, and extend the service life of the optical cable.   

5.The use of high-quality aluminum alloy material improves the mechanical performance and corrosion resistance of the clamp, and greatly extends the life.
