Corona Suppression Coil Ring for ADSS

On transmission lines with voltage levels above 110kV, when ADSS optical cables are erected on the same pole, the optical cables are often at a higher spatial potential, which threatens the safe operation of the optical cables. The reason is the corona at the end of the pre-twisted wire fittings. The research results show that installing an anti-corona ring at the outlet of the ADSS optical cable fittings can improve the electric field distribution on the surface of the optical cable, and significantly inhibit the electrical corrosion of the ADSS optical cable.
