Stainless steel split pins are mostly used to prevent loosening or to lock parts, and are usually used in the tail holes of bolts or studs. The diameters of split pins for bolts of different specifications are also different. Toughness of split pin:

Each leg of the split pin should be able to withstand repeated bending without breaking or cracking in the bending part.

Bending method:

Pull the cotter pin apart, clamp any straight leg part of it in the inspection mold, so that no flattening can occur, and then bend the cotter pin 90 degrees, one round trip is a bend. The test speed should not exceed 60 times/min. The inspection mold should have a semicircular slot with a diameter equal to the nominal size of the split pin, and the jaws should have a rounded corner of r=0.5mm.
